Live-Stream Judging is next week

Live-stream judging broadcast October 14 & 15 at 9am (PDT) each day.

You are invited to watch our Award’s Broadcast next week!

It’s that time again!  Time to set aside a few hours of your week to soak up critique from an incredible panel of guest judges. Join us for a two-day broadcast as we find out which photos place in the top 10 for each category during our 8th cycle of the Documentary Family Awards.

We are so honored to have Jide Alakija, Leslie Kershaw and Lawrence Jackson as our three finalist guest judges, taking us through their thought processes as they select this round’s award-winning photographs!

WHEN:  October 14 and 15, beginning each day at 9 am Pacific Daylight Time (PDT). Check your time zone here > https://time.is/PDT

WHERE: documentaryfamilyawards.com/live

HOW DOES IT WORK?

During our live-stream broadcast, you will have a chance to view the selections of the preliminary-round judges as Leslie, Lawrence and Jide curate a final gallery of award-winning photographs.

This final round of judging is a transparent, two-day process that is constructive and engaging, aimed at helping photographers expand their thinking about their craft.  As Leslie, Lawrence and Jide narrow down the photos in each category, they will discuss what makes a great documentary photograph or series and the reasoning behind their final selection of award winners and honorable mentions.

Next weeks broadcast is free to the public while it is being live-streamed.  Anyone who submitted to this round of the DFA’s will also receive a free subscription to re-watch the recording of the broadcast after it ends.

We hope you join us as we review the inspiring work of your fellow photographers and watch the announcements of the latest DFA winners!

See you next week!
